First of all, there's no petroleum jelly base. Petroleum jelly (essentially a byproduct of gasoline, discovered on an oil rig) is a corrosive that does not absorb into the skin. This vapor rub uses an olive oil and beeswax base that is healing and nutritive to the skin.
